Mumbai: FIR against actor Sahil Khan for death threat to woman |
Mumbai: The Oshiwara Police have registered a case against actor Sahil Khan for allegedly threatening to defame a woman and killing her.
As per the complainant’s statement to the police, she had joined a gym near her house in Oshiwara in 2020. On December 10 that year, when she had entered the gym, there was a small note waiting for her at the reception. The note had a mobile number, a name that read ‘Matilda’ and a small message that said, “Aapke pati ke credit card ki mujhe puri jankari hai (I know all the details of your husband’s credit card)”.
Police: Accused woman had an affair with the husband of the complainant
When she confronted her husband with the note, he admitted to having an affair several years ago with someone named Matilda, but said that he had no contact with her after marriage.
A couple of days later, Matilda and Sahil Khan came to the gym and allegedly started swearing at her and her husband. She alleged that the duo threatened to harm her children, too. She added that Matilda has also registered an FIR against her husband at Amboli police station, which according to the latter is baseless.
The complainant submitted several screenshots of posts to the police as evidence which were uploaded by Khan on his social media accounts. She said the posts were defamatory in nature for her and her family.
In the text messages and verbal communication between the actor and the complainant, the former threatened to harm her and her family.
While the police are yet to make any arrests, a case has been registered against the Khan and Matilda under sections 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory), 509 (insult the modesty of a woman), 504 (provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intent) of the Indian Penal Code.
