Maha Kumbh Sensation Monalisa's Director Sanoj Mishra Arrested For Raping Aspiring Actress, Threatening To Leak Obscene Videos

Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who was all over the news after he offered a film to Maha Kumbh's viral girl, Monalisa, was arrested in a rape case in Delhi on Monday. He has been accused of sexually assaulting a girl from a small town several times under the pretence of making her a heroine.

As per reports, the victim told the cops that she met Mishra in 2020 via TikTok and Instagram, and at that time, she lived in Jhansi. The two spoke multiple times, and on June 17, 2021, Mishra called her stating he was at Jhansi railway station. However, the victim refused to meet him, but Mishra threatened to commit suicide if she did not come.

Scared of his threats, the victim agreed to meet him the next day, and on June 18, Mishra allegedly took to her to a resort, where he raped her after giving her intoxicants. In her complaint, the victim told the cops that Mishra recorded her obscene videos and threatened to make them viral if she protested.

Later, on several other occasions, Mishra allegedly met the victim and sexually assaulted her, under the pretext of marriage and promising her good roles in movies.

For those unversed, Mishra made headlines after he offered a film to Monalisa, who gripped the internet with her beauty during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. While she sold breads in Maha Kumbh, people captured her photos and videos and within no time, she was dubbed as an ethereal beauty.

Reports then surfaced that Monalisa had bagged a film, and few days later, Mishra announced that he is set to cast her in his next film, titled The Diary of Manipur. If reports are to be believed, Mishra was also giving acting lessons to Monalisa.

Mishra has several films to his credit including Gandhigiri, Ram Ki Janmabhoomi, Lafange Nawab, Dharm Ke Saudagar, Kashi To Kashmir, and others.
