Actor Vidyut Jammwal recently extended support to comedian Kunal Kamra, who is facing massive backlash over his stand-up show Naya Bharat at Habitat Studio in Mumbai for his jokes on Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, where he called Shinde a "traitor" (gaddar) and also created a song mocking him using the tune of Dil Toh Pagal Hai. On Sunday, Vidyut asked why Kamaal R Khan's controversial comments on actresses go unquestioned.
The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a video of KRK making offensive remarks about several actresses, where he body-shamed and colour-shamed them while also inciting communal disharmony. In his caption, Vidyut wrote, "GITA CHAPTER 2 VERSE 31, MEANING-Kshatriya, you should not waver, for there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a RIGHTEOUS WAR."
He added, "Here is man, taking refuge out of the country, drawing attention by spewing venom against the country and even worse, our women. No one stops to question his intent or mobilises to bring him down."
