Game Changer, the latest political action drama directed by S Shankar and starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, hit the big screens on January 10, 2025, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. The film was released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil, and has garnered mixed reactions from audiences and critics.
In the Hindi-speaking market, Game Changer collected approximately Rs 7 crore on its opening day (Friday), according to Sacnilk.
In India, the overall collection of the first on the first day of its release was Rs 51 crore. With this, the film has registered a strong opening at the box office.
Reportedly, the Telugu dubbed version of Game Changer raked in Rs 42 crore whereas the Tamil version managed to earn Rs 2. 1 crore.
Game Changer set a high benchmark for Sankranti releases with impressive advance booking numbers. According to media reports, the film grossed Rs 31.60 crore in advance sales for Day 1, selling nearly 10 lakh tickets nationwide. Andhra Pradesh led with Rs 15.17 crore gross, followed by Telangana at Rs 9.81 crore, dominating other regions in advance bookings.
Game Changer remains in the spotlight, thanks to its star-studded cast and Shankar's reputation. The film's performance in other regional markets and its overall box office trajectory will become clearer in the days ahead.
