'False Promises, Unfulfilled Commitments': Actress Srushti Dange Skips Prabhu Deva's Concert Over 'Discrimination', Slams Creative Team
In her statement, Srushti Dange also made it clear that her decision was not directed at Prabhu Deva but was instead a response to the 'discrimination and unfair treatment' she faced. She revealed that despite being in the industry for years, she still had to 'fight for what she rightfully deserved'

Tamil actress Srushti Dange publicly slammed the creative team of Prabhu Deva's upcoming concert, announcing that she has decided to walk out of the event. Taking to social media on Thursday (February 20), Srushti penned a strongly worded note, expressing her disappointment and the reasons behind her exit.
In her statement, Srushti made it clear that her decision was not directed at Prabhu Deva but was instead a response to the 'discrimination and unfair treatment' she faced. She revealed that despite being in the industry for years, she still had to 'fight for what she rightfully deserved'.
"To all my amazing supporters who were expecting to see me at the Prabhu Deva concert, I am deeply saddened to share that I have decided to walk out of the show. This decision is not directed at Prabhu Deva sir in any way-I have been a huge fan of him and always will be. However, I cannot stand for discrimination and leanings," she wrote.
Srushti added, "It truly hurts that even after being in the industry for so many years, you still have to fight for what you rightfully deserve. False promises and unfulfilled commitments are disappointing, and these were the major reasons behind my decision."
Srushti expressed sadness that what could have been a cherished memory turned into a 'disheartening experience'. She stated that while she doesn’t need an event to celebrate Prabhu Deva, she wished the organisers had shown more respect for the artists involved.
"Maybe next time, in a better and healthier, more respectful space, things will be different," she added, calling for better treatment of performers in the industry.
Prabhu Deva, who was last seen in Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravi Kumar, has not reacted to Srushi's statement yet.
It may be mentioned that Prabhu Deva is all set to perform at YMCA Grounds in Chennai on Saturday (February 22).
