Dewangini Vyas, who shot to fame with the reality show Splitsvilla 15, recently revealed that she was wrongly diagnosed after she suffered an epileptic fit back in 2016. Dewangini Vyas, who shot to fame with her participation in the reality show Splitsvilla 15, recently revealed that she was wrongly diagnosed after she suffered an epileptic fit back in 2016. She shared that she was in the ICU for 15 days and her condition only kept worsening as she received the wrong diagnosis for six months.
During her appearance on Rushali and Harsh's podcast, Dewangini shared, "In 2015-16, I experienced an epileptic fit. It’s a neurological disorder. And then I got treated wrongly. The medications were incorrect, and I developed large blisters all over my body from head to toe. I couldn't eat, sleep, and sit. I couldn’t even see clearly. In a neurological condition, you constantly forget people. It was a terrible moment."
She recalled, "I was in the ICU for 15 days. I couldn’t eat anything during that time. On the 16th day, my father came to me and told me, very emotionally, that doctors had urged me to eat anything or die. For 16 days, nothing was inside my body. For six months, I received the wrong treatment. The side that needed to be treated was not the one they focused on. I was not improving."
Dewangini shared that they finally decided to visit a different doctor and that is when they found out that she had been receiving wrong treatment. "Then I received excellent treatment, and nothing big occurred after 2017," she stated.
Dewangini and her partner Divyansh Pokharna have been going strong even after Splitsvilla 15 ended, and they are often seen posting cute videos with each other on social media.
