Dhadak 2 Trailer: From ‘Promising’ To ‘Bollywood Ruining Tamil Film Pariyerum Perumal’, Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri Starrer Gets Mixed Response

In 2018, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter were seen together in Dhadak. The film was a remake of the Marathi movie Sairat, and despite mixed reviews, it did well at the box office. Now, after seven years, the makers are coming up with a spiritual sequel titled Dhadak 2, and it stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Well, just like Dhadak, even Dhadak 2 is a remake. The film, which is directed by Shazia Iqbal, is a remake of the Tamil movie Pariyerum Perumal.

Today, the trailer of the film was launched at an event in Mumbai on Friday, and it has received mixed reviews from netizens. While some are very impressed with the trailer, some feel that Dhadak 2 will ruin Pariyerum Perumal.

A netizen tweeted, “Bollywood and their obsession with kiss and intimate scenes, #pariyerumperumal is beyond's Kjos understanding. I knew they would ruin the film. #Dhadak2 👎🏻 If you can't do justice to the original plot and screen play, please don't spoil it by remaking (remakewood) (sic).”

Well, Dhadak 2 was slated to release last year, but the film faced issues with the CBFC due to the story being related to the caste system. However, finally, after some cuts, the movie was certified by the CBFC.
