A wave of nostalgia took over the trailer launch of 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' as the media present were awestruck by seeing former co-stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla share the stage together.

The duo worked together almost two decades ago in 'Tere Naam' (2003) and 'Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha' (2005). During the trailer launch, the two actors spoke about working together and how did it feel sharing screen space with one another after 20 years.

Bhumika confessed that during the audio launch of 'Tere Naam', she had accidentally addressed Salman as Bhai, much to everyone's dismay.

She said, “At the audio launch of Tere Naam I went on stage and said, ‘I’m very happy to work with Salman bhai!’ and people were just so shocked, that's what exactly is happening! But, today I won’t call you Salman bhai.”

To which Salman retorted, “Aisa kya badal gaya?!”

In 'Tere Naam', Salman played a street-smart guy who is known for his aggressive and violent behaviour but eventually falls for a simple, naive, god-fearing girl. While many loved the film back then, over the years, it has become a classic example of projecting the behaviour of an entitled, toxic man. The film wrongly shows how the man imposes his love and coerces the woman to fall in love with him.

Speaking about the experience of working with each other back then, Salman further shared, “It was a serious film, but we had so much fun shooting it. We would come on the set and say, ‘Hi. How’s it going? Good? Ate lunch? No sir. Pack up. Bye, take care.’ Then next morning again: ‘Hello sir, hello mam!’ These were the only words we exchanged throughout that film! After that also, even here (in this film), it was the same. Consistent, nothing has changed! Maybe she was scared of the Tere Naam character. That, ‘What if I say hi too much and he runs after me with long hair.’ Filmon tak theek tha."

Directed by Farhad Samji, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' is slated to release during Eid on April 21, 2023. The film also features Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Vijender Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.
