AR Rahman's Son Ameen Shares Health Update, Reveals Hospitalisation Was Due to Dehydration: 'Father Felt A Bit Weak'
A.R. Rahman’s son, Ameen, shared an update on his father’s health after his hospitalisation due to dehydration. Taking to Instagram, Ameen assured fans that Rahman is doing well after routine tests. He expressed gratitude for the love and support, saying, "Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. Much love and gratitude!"

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman was admitted to a hospital in Chennai on Saturday night after experiencing chest pain on Sunday. Hours later, his son, Ameen, provided a health update, revealing that Rahman was hospitalised due to weakness caused by dehydration.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Ameen wrote, "To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration, hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I'm happy to share that he is doing well now."
Ameen added, "Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!"
Ameen's sister, Raheema, also shared the same statement along with a medical bulletin from the hospital that read, "Mr. AR Rahman visited Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, today morning with dehydration symptoms and got discharged after routine check-up."
The singer had returned from London last night when he felt unwell and went for a check-up.
After news of AR Rahman's ill health broke, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared his concern upon hearing the news that Rahman had been admitted to the hospital due to illness.
Confirming that Rahman is doing fine, the CM tweeted, "As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @arrahman had been admitted to the hospital due to ill health, I contacted the doctors and inquired about his health! They said he is fine and will be back home soon!. Happy!"
On the work front, AR Rahman is set to compose music for the Dhanush and Kriti Sanon's Tere Ishk Mein, which is a spiritual sequel to the blockbuster film Raanjhanna.
