Ananya Panday Teams Up With Akshay Kumar & R. Madhavan For C Sankaran Nair Biopic: 'Ek Ankahi Kahaani, Ek Ansuna Sach'
The yet-to-be-titled movie is slated to release in 2025 and is backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

Ananya Panday is on a roll, basking in the success of her recently released projects, CTRL and Call Me Bae! Now, the actress is all set to join hands with Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan for the highly anticipated film about C Sankaran Nair, focusing on the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
The yet-to-be-titled movie is slated to release on March 14, 2025 and is backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The official Instagram handle of Dharma Movies announced their upcoming film and stated that it will be based on real events from the book The Case That Shook The Empire, by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat.

Sharing the announcement, the makers wrote, "Ek ankahi kahaani, ek ansuna sach." Earlier, it was reported that the C Sankaran Nair biopic will be called Shankara. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Earlier, during the announcement of the film, Johar said, "I am extremely excited and honoured to back the film that will unravel the legendary courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair’s bravery ignited the freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for the truth."
According to Bollywood Hungama, Akshay will be playing the role of a lawyer. Panday's character, on the other hand, seeks guidance from him. There will be no romantic angle between the duo.
In 2023, Kumar shot for the movie at Jama Masjid in Delhi.
