The viral video shows Ajith Kumar's car colliding with a stationary car on the track.

One of the commentators can be heard saying, "Ajith Kumar out of the car, out of the race. It's the first significant bit of a damage we've seen from him this year. He's a fine champ, he goes and helps the marshals clear up all the body. Not many drivers would do that."

Earlier this year, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi. Overwhelmed by emotions, he was heard saying, "It still hasn’t sunk in. I’m still a plain middle class person at heart, and it feels so surreal to be here and experiencing all these emotions."

On the work front, Ajith Kumar was last seen in Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran.

The film also featured Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Tinnu Anand, B. S. Avinash and Raghu Ram.
