UP Schools Closed: The annual Mahakumbh festival in Prayagraj attracts thousands of worshipers every day, wreaking havoc on the district's traffic system. As a result, children had difficulty getting to school due to the large crowds and multiple automobiles. To solve this issue, the district administration has kept schools closed for classes 1–8 for several days.
The holiday was originally declared until February 16, but due to the continuing crowd, the administration has prolonged the closure. According to the most recent instructions, schools for grades one through eight will be closed from February 17 to 20.
The Prayagraj district government announced the shutdown of schools through grade 8 until February 20. Schools will be allowed to hold online classes during this time. Basic Education Officer Praveen Kumar Tiwari delivered the order, which will apply to all board-affiliated schools.
Following the suspension of schools up to class 8, instructors must go to school on schedule, according to the government decree. During this time, they will concentrate on performing administrative activities such as DBT, Apaar ID generation, Aadhar seeding, and other critical departmental work.
