UP NEET UG 2025: Phase 1 Counselling Deadline Extended To July 28 Amid Steep Fee Hike In Private Medical Colleges
Deadline for the first phase of online counseling for UP NEET UG 2025 (MBBS/BDS) admissions in medical and dental courses the state has been extended. An important announcement was issued by the Directorate General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, on Monday.

Lucknow: Deadline for the first phase of online counseling for UP NEET UG 2025 (MBBS/BDS) admissions in medical and dental courses the state has been extended. An important announcement was issued by the Directorate General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, on Monday.
Counselling Extended for Candidates' Convenience
As per the new notification, the last date for online registration and document upload is now July 28, until 5 PM. The deadline for submitting registration fees and security deposits has been extended to July 29, until 11 AM.
The Directorate General's office clarified that all other terms and conditions remain unchanged, stating that this decision was made for the convenience of the candidates.

This extension comes as medical education in UP's private colleges becomes significantly more expensive. The Medical Education Department has approved an annual fee increase for 17 out of 31 private medical colleges for the 2025-26 academic session.
Students enrolling this session will have to pay between ₹1.55 lakh and ₹5.50 lakh more for MBBS. Furthermore, MD and MS course fees have also increased by up to ₹10 lakh annually.
