In a major step toward skill development and employment generation, Tata Trust has launched a free three-month Two-Wheeler Repairing Course for boys from economically weaker families. The course, which commenced from Thursday in Narhe, Pune, aims to empower youth with hands-on training and job placements in leading automobile companies.
The program is open to candidates who have passed or failed 10th grade, with an age limit of 18 to 30 years. Trainees will receive complete instruction in BS6 engine systems and electric vehicle repairs, preparing them for modern automotive service requirements.
As part of the initiative, all participants will be provided with free uniforms including a bag, shoes, and T-shirt, along with midday meals sponsored by the company. Those residing in Pune will also receive commuting support in the form of bus pass reimbursements.
For students coming from outside Pune, temporary arrangements for accommodation and one meal must initially be self-financed. However, upon submission of relevant bills, these expenses will be reimbursed within 21 days.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be placed in showrooms of renowned brands such as KTM, Bajaj, Chetak, Ather, TVS, Yamaha, and Royal Enfield, with a starting monthly salary ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹15,000.
The program is particularly aimed at helping youth working unpaid at local garages, by offering them formal training and a reliable career path.
