Bhubaneswar: A third-year B.Tech student from KIIT University was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Mancheswar police station area on Tuesday. This marks the second suspicious death of a KIIT student within two months, raising serious concerns.
Body Found Near Under-Construction Site
The deceased has been identified as Arnab Mukherjee, a native of Bankura, West Bengal. A third-year B.Tech student at KIIT University, Arnab lived in a university hostel. However, it remains unclear how he ended up in Mancheswar, far from his hostel.
His body was discovered at an under-construction building, prompting local residents to alert the police. Officers from Mancheswar police station arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to Capital Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Investigation Underway Amid Unanswered Questions
Authorities are now trying to piece together how Arnab left his hostel and ended up in Mancheswar. Investigators are also examining whether foul play was involved or if the incident was a case of suicide or an accident.
The Mancheswar police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched a full investigation. Officials are reviewing CCTV footage, questioning hostel mates, and analyzing call records to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident.
