The NEET PG 2024 test held on August 11, 2024, in two sessions, was for admission to different postgraduate medical courses like MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (Direct 6 years), and NBEMS Diploma Courses for the 2024-25 session. The results of the NEET-PG were announced on August 23, 2024.
Earlier this year, MCC had already lowered the cut-off for all categories. The revised cut-off for General and EWS category candidates was at the 15th percentile, hence making them eligible for counselling. For SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates, the new cut-off was revised to the 10th percentile or more. Initially, the cut-off was at the 50th percentile for unreserved categories, 45th for PwD, and 40th for reserved categories.
This decrease in the cut-off percentile is anticipated to enable more aspirants to avail themselves of the counselling process. The aspirants who fall in the revised cut-off may access the official MCC website for additional information on the counselling process.
