Maharashtra Commences RTE Admissions 2025 For 25% Reserved Seats
As per the official RTE portal, over 8,500 schools across Maharashtra have registered under the Right to Education Act, offering more than 1 lakh seats for eligible students.

The Maharashtra School Education Department has officially opened the admission window for the 2025 Right to Education (RTE) quota, providing 25% reserved seats in schools for children from economically weaker and disadvantaged groups. Parents can submit applications through the official RTE portal until the deadline of January 27, 2025.
As per the official RTE portal, over 8,500 schools across Maharashtra have registered under the Right to Education Act, offering more than 1 lakh seats for eligible students. In Mumbai alone, 327 schools have registered, providing 6,053 seats.
The RTE Act ensures free education for students from economically weaker and disadvantaged groups from Classes I to VIII in English medium schools. The fees of these students are reimbursed to the respective schools by the Government. This year, the registration process for schools began on December 18.
