The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday commenced a month-long in-person support programme for Classes X and XII students in government schools across ten locations in the Union Territory of Ladakh, officials said.

The programme is being conducted at Leh, Nubra (two places), Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan, with a focus on strengthening students' subject understanding and preparing them for the Board examinations, they said.

Academic support across subjects

For Class X students, the programme covers mathematics and science, while Class XII students will receive academic support in physics, chemistry, mathematics and economics, they said.

The sessions focus on subject-wise academic preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and effective approaches to tackling Board examinations, they said.

Experienced teachers conduct sessions

"Experienced teachers and resource persons from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country have been nominated to conduct the sessions," they said.

The initiative aims to enhance students' academic preparedness, build confidence, and equip them with effective strategies to perform better in the Board examinations, they said.
