BPSC 70th CCE Prelims Exam 2024 Re-exam To Be Held In January First Week; Check Date HERE

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the re-exam date for the Integrated 70th Combined Competitive Examination (Prelims) exam. The exam was cancelled at one of the centre in Patna following massive chaos and death of a security personnel. The re-exam date is January 4, 2025. Approximately 12,000 candidates took exam at this centre.

Following a full-bench discussion on December 19, 2024, to discuss the cancellation of the preliminary exam held at the Bapu Examination Complex on December 13, 2024, this decision was made.

The Commission decided to hold the re-examination as soon as feasible. According to BPSC, additional information on the re-examination schedule, including times and centre arrangements, will shortly be posted on the official BPSC website, as per a report by Indian Express.

The decision to cancel the exam was based on the reports by Centre Superintendent and the investigation report by District Administration.

According to a PTI report, on December 13, an official on duty died of a heart attack as a result of a disturbance caused by "unruly" candidates.

Four lakh seventy-five thousand applicants took the exam in 911 centres. The exams taken by candidates at other centres will not be affected.

The BPSC chairman denied rumours of a paper leak during the exam, claiming that the exam was only cancelled at the Bapu Pariksha Bhavan. The chairman also stated that the results would be made public at the same time, even if the test was retaken.
