AIAPGET 2026: NTA Issues Show-Cause Notice To Eduquity, Suspends Empanelment After Jaipur Power Failure Disrupts Exam For 49 Candidates
NTA has suspended Eduquity Career Technologies' empanelment after lapses during AIAPGET 2026 at a Jaipur centre. A power failure affected 49 candidates, who will take a re-exam on September 1 at a Jaipur centre.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a show-cause notice to M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. following lapses in the conduct of the AIAPGET 2026 examination at an exam centre in Jaipur. The agency has also suspended Eduquity's empanelment with NTA with immediate effect, pending resolution of the notice.
The action comes after a power failure at Shri Satya Sai PG College in Jaipur disrupted the examination for 49 candidates on August 22. The affected candidates could not complete their test and will now be required to appear for a re-examination.
AIAPGET 2026 re-exam on September 1
The NTA has scheduled the re-examination for the affected candidates on September 1, 2026, at 10 AM.
The test will be conducted at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur. Candidates eligible for the re-examination will receive revised admit cards containing further details about the test.
The NTA has expressed regret over the disruption and the inconvenience caused to the candidates.
49 candidates could not complete examination
The incident occurred during the Shift-I examination at Shri Satya Sai PG College. Of the 192 candidates who appeared at the Jaipur centre, 49 could not complete the examination because of the power failure.
The NTA attributed the lapse to M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the examination conducting agency.
The incident prompted the testing agency to take action against the company, with the empanelment suspension remaining in force until the issues raised through the show-cause notice are resolved.
49,867 candidates appeared across 205 centres
The AIAPGET 2026 examination was conducted in two shifts across approximately 205 centres on August 22.
According to the NTA, 51,482 candidates had registered for the examination, while 49,867 candidates appeared.
The agency said the examination was completed for the overwhelming majority of candidates, with the Jaipur centre being the exception that led to the re-examination for the affected candidates.
For Shift-I, 36,979 candidates were registered, of whom 35,837 appeared across 200 centres. The examination was completed for 35,788 candidates.
Revised admit cards to carry re-exam details
Candidates who were unable to finish the examination due to the power failure will be issued revised admit cards for the September 1 re-examination.
They are advised to check the revised admission certificate carefully once it is released and follow the instructions mentioned on it.
Candidates with questions regarding the re-examination can contact the NTA at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, or write to aiapget@nta.ac.in.
