Vedanta Limited on Tuesday announced that the appointment of Ajay Goel as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), the company announced through an exchange filing.
The decision was made during a meeting of the company's Board of Directors on October 24, 2023. Goel is set to assume his new role on October 30, 2023.

Ajay Goel, a distinguished professional, holds national rankings in both Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretaryship. With an experience in leadership roles within global multinational corporations, his career spans esteemed organizations such as General Electric, Nestle, Coca Cola, and Diageo – USL.
His prior association with Vedanta as Acting CFO & KMP from October 23, 2021, to April 09, 2023, underscores his deep-rooted expertise in financial management and strategic leadership. During his earlier tenure at Vedanta, Goel played a pivotal role in driving business performance, managing financial affairs, and expertly handling regulatory approvals, investments, investor relations, and major M&A transactions.
The company also announced the resignation of Sonal Shrivastava from her post as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective as of the close of business hours on October 24, 2023. Her decision to step down is due to personal reasons.
