FASTag annual pass has been announced by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. As the name suggests, this pass allow users to zoom through the national highways, expressways and state expressways seamlessly throughout validity. The yearly FASTag pass is priced at Rs. 3,000 and it will go live on August 15. This pass will especially be useful for daily commuters who have toll plazas very close to home. The yearly FASTag app will be available through the official Rajmarg Yatra app.

Gadkari has confirmed on social media site X that the yearly FASTag pass will be priced at Rs. 3,000. It will be available from August 15 this year. This pass will hold validity of one year from date of activation or up to 200 trips – whichever comes first.

The FASTag yearly pass will be available on the Rajmarg Yatra app as well as on other NHAI and MoRTH official websites from August 15. A dedicated link for activation and renewal will be made available inside the apps. Instructions for activation and renewal will go live closer to availability.
FASTag yearly pass: Who can get it?
Gadkari says that the FASTag yearly pass will only be made available for non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. The pass cannot be used by businesses for commercial purposes.
FASTag yearly: Will it work across the country or only on one toll plaza?
To clear the confusion around whether the pass will allow access to all tolls across India or just through one particular toll, Gadkari said, “The Annual Pass will enable seamless and cost-effective travel across National Highways throughout the country.”
He adds, “This policy addresses long-standing concerns regarding toll plazas located within a 60 km range and simplifies toll payments through a single, affordable transaction. By reducing wait times, easing congestion, and minimizing disputes at toll plazas, the Annual Pass aims to deliver a faster and smoother travel experience for millions of private vehicle owners.”
