Watch Video: 2 Bike-Borne Men Snatch Gold Chain From Jabalpur Army Jawan’s Wife Walking On Road In Broad Daylight

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two men on a bike snatched the gold chain of an army man's wife in Jabalpur on Thursday. The entire incident was caught on a CCTV camera installed in the area. The footage is now being widely shared on social media.

In the footage, the woman can be seen walking along the street with another woman when one of the men approached her on foot and suddenly snatched the mangalsutra from her neck.

The woman immediately ran after him, but the thief quickly got onto a bike with his accomplice, and fled the scene.

The incident took place near Girgaon Gate in Maharajpura.

According to information, the woman, Vandana Bhadoriya, lives in Sky City near Girgaon and is the wife of army soldier Yogendra Singh Bhadoriya. She was going to buy milk with her friend Preeti when the incident happened.

As they reached near Girgaon Gate, one of the men came from behind on foot and suddenly grabbed the gold chain from Vandana's neck. He then ran and jumped onto a bike where the other man was waiting, and they quickly sped away.

Vandana tried to run after them and shouted for help, but they vanished before anyone could catch them.

The police arrived soon after and checked the CCTV cameras in the area. The two men were seen in the footage riding away on the bike after the snatching.

Police said the value of the stolen mangalsutra is around ₹50,000.

CSP Nagendra Singh Sikarwar from Maharajpura Police said they are searching for the suspects using the CCTV footage and hope to catch them soon.
