Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari visited Ujjain’s revered Mahakaleshwar temple and offered his prayers on Thursday.
At the temple, he performed the traditional Panchamrit ritual in the sanctum sanctorum. Temple priests Ashish, Sanjay, and Rajesh conducted the rituals.
Here, he was honored by the President of the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee and Ujjain Collector, Neeraj Singh. The two presented him with the temple’s sacred prasad inside the Nandi Hall, along with a traditional stole as a mark of respect.
The minister also shared the pictures of his visit on his official X handle.
The occasion was also graced by Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, and Member of Parliament Anil Firojiya.

Gadkari arrived in Ujjain in the afternoon after inaugurating the Badnawar-Ujjain four-lane highway worth ₹1,352 crore.
On Thursday he announced various development projects including - greenfield economic corridors in MP worth ₹33k crore, a bridge over the Narmada River in Omkareshwar, development of six ropeways worth ₹1,200 crore and more.
Later, minister Gadkari addressed an event in Dhar’s Pithampur, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 10 National Highway projects worth ₹5.8k Cr.
