Morena (Madhya Pradesh): The plight of farmers surfaced from Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district - which is also the home district of state's Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kansana - where women, elders and even children stood in queues for long hours only to return empty-handed.
According to information, farmers stood outside fertilizer distribution centers in Morena district since 6 am on Monday, however, by noon many still didn't receive fertilizer.

Additionally, many farmers have alleged black marketing of fertilizer. They claim that society managers give fertilizer slips to their close contacts first, while ordinary farmers are made to wait for hours and return home empty-handed.
Some farmers said that even after standing in line all day, they only manage to get 2 small fertilizer bags. The situation is so dire that women and young girls also have to stand in the crowd, but many don’t even get their turn as slips are already distributed to selected people.
According to the Block President of Kisan Congress Deepak Yadav, there is no shortage of fertilizer, but the problem lies in its distribution. He accused society managers of deliberately creating a black market.
He warned that if the situation doesn’t improve in 2-3 days, the Block Congress Kisan Committee will stage a protest.
