Vehicle Lifters’ Gang Busted, 2 Held With 5 Stolen Bikes In Bhopal
Zone-2 DCP Sanjay Agarwal said a police team was constituted after receiving several complaints regarding motorcycle thefts.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Awadhpuri police station team on Tuesday busted a gang of vehicle lifters and arrested two of its members with stolen bikes. The accused confessed to their involvement in multiple incidents of vehicle thefts in the area, police officials said.
Zone-2 DCP Sanjay Agarwal said a police team was constituted after receiving several complaints regarding motorcycle thefts.
On Tuesday, Awadhpuri police station TI Rattan Singh Parihar and his team arrested two suspects near Nakshatra Enclave who were going to sell a stolen bike. The suspects identified as Mahesh Tanwa (40) of Vikas Nagar slums and Bhagwat Acharya (35) of Deep Nagar.
On their confession, police team seized five stolen bikes from their possession worth Rs 3 lakh.
Mahesh Tanwa has 19 criminal cases registered against him for different offences in Govindpura, Piplani, Bag Sewania and Awadhpuri police station. The other accused Bhagwat Acharya hails from Khandwa and has four cases registered against him in Khandwa and Bhopal. The accused told police that they used to sell stolen bikes in far off places and earn cash for buying drugs and alcohol.
