Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple Gears Up For Maha Shivaratri 2025 With Grand Celebrations & Rituals; Cleaning Process Underway

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The revered Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is gearing up for the grand celebration of Maha Shivaratri in 2025. The festivities are scheduled to commence on February 17 and will culminate on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri, February 26, 2025. This period, known as Shiv Navratri, involves nine days of dedicated worship and rituals honoring Lord Shiva.
Starting February 12, 2025, the Rudrayantra and silver-plated walls within the sanctum will be cleaned. Moreover, the temple's main spire is being thoroughly cleaned, and the entire structure is receiving fresh coats of paint. The sacred Kotitirtha Kund, along with the sanctum sanctorum and other areas within the temple complex, are undergoing meticulous cleaning.
