Tragic Accident In Sagar: One Dead, Seventeen Injured As Passenger Bus Overturns |
Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic road accident was reported on late Friday night in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh where a passenger bus overturned near Sathiya Valley Shahgarh police station area. The accident took life of a man and others were severely injured.
The private bus, belonging to Singh Travels (registration number MP 21 P 0786) was carrying 18 passengers from Chhatarpur to Damoh when it suddenly went out of control and overturned.

On receiving the information, Hirapur outpost in-charge immediately reached the site along with his team and made rescue efforts. The injured were rushed to Shahgarh Health Center with the help of ambulances.
Doctors at the health center declared 30-year-old Damodar Singh, a resident of Batiagadh, dead on arrival. Also, Rama Asati, a resident of Damoh, lost her hand in the accident and was referred to the district hospital in critical condition.
Seven Referred for Serious Injuries
Seven passengers suffered serious injuries and were also referred to the district hospital for advanced treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported scenes of chaos and panic occurred because of the crash. Passengers were screaming for help. The cause of the bus losing control is under investigation. Police have registered a case and further inquiry is underway.
