Shocker! 70-Year-Old Woman Murdered After She Tries To Stop Granddaughter’s Rape In MP’s Jabalpur
On the basis of the complaint, police booked the accused, identified as Prateek Kushwaha alias Rahul, under charges of rape and murder.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A disturbing incident was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, where a 70-year-old grandmother was strangled to death after she tried to stop the accused youth raping her granddaughter, said the police.
According to information, the incident took place in the Cherital area of Jabalpur on Tuesday night which came to light after a case was registered.
On the basis of the complaint, police booked the accused, identified as Prateek Kushwaha alias Rahul, under charges of rape and murder.
According to police reports, the accused barged into the victim’s residence on Tuesday night, where the elderly woman was sleeping with her two granddaughters.

The accused allegedly raped one of the girls. Later, fearing exposure, he tied the hands and legs of the second girl to silence her.
When the grandmother woke up during the incident, she immediately tried to intervene, the accused strangled her to death. He also physically assaulted the survivor when she resisted.
Accused is already married
Investigations revealed that the accused is already married but was pressuring the girl to marry him. After facing rejection, he resorted to this violent act.
The Kotwali Police have registered cases under relevant sections of murder and rape.
Further investigation is underway.
