Shivpuri: In-laws including husband make woman half-naked and beat up over land dispute
According to reports, the woman, Savita Kewat, a resident of Haripur village, Kolaras, had bought a plot with the help of her parents.
Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A woman has allegedly been made half-naked and beaten up by her mother-in-law, brother-in-law and her husband over a land dispute in Kolaras locality of Shivpuri district. A 3-year-old boy of the woman came to save her but they drove him away and kept assaulting the woman.
According to reports, the woman, Savita Kewat, a resident of Haripur village, Kolaras, had bought a plot with the help of her parents. Savita said that she had deposited the installments of the plot by working as a labourer, but at the time of registration of the plot, her husband was pressuring her to get the plot registered on his name.
Savita further said that if the plot would get registered to her husband's name then he would sell it and her dream of making children educated would remain unfulfilled. As a result she wanted to get the registry of the plot in her name, she said, adding that her husband was pressuring her to get the registry of the plot in his name for many days.
At the time of the incident, Savita said that she was preparing food and in the meantime, her husband, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law reached there in anger and started beating her. All three of them took off her clothes and beat her fiercely. Later, Savita picked up a stone and drove them away.
After that Savita reached the police station and registered a complaint against them. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
