Scared Of His Wife’s Complaint, Bhopal Man Sets Self-Ablaze Outside Police Station
Two days ago, Suraj’s wife lodged a complaint against him at Tila Jamalpura police station claiming that she was assaulted by her husband.

Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Scared of wife’s complaint made to police against him, a man tried to immolate himself outside Gautam Nagar police station on Friday afternoon.
The police station staff extinguished the fire and admitted him to the hospital. The man had assaulted his wife suspecting her of having an illicit affair, police said.

On Friday, the couple again had a scuffle and this time she approached Gautam Nagar police station, which is closer to her house. Suraj soaked his clothes in petrol and followed his wife to the police station. He set himself ablaze at the police station.
However, the policemen immediately extinguished fire and wrapping him in a blanket. A constable also received minor burns in the process. Suraj has been admitted to the burn ward of Hamidia Hospital.
Police investigation revealed that the couple has two children aged eight and five years. Suraj suspected that his wife was having an illicit affair with another man. The couple often used to scuffle over the issue.
