Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): An NRI couple from London, along with their family, were attacked with stones and sticks while riding in a car in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district, as reported on Saturday.
According to information, the incident occurred in Gohad between Station Road and Fatehpur village on Thursday.
The miscreants allegedly hurled sticks and stones at their moving vehicle, injuring their son Rohanpreet Singh on the face and daughter Ravneet Kaur on the hand. The car’s side glass and windows were also shattered.
The victims alleged that a constable posted at Gohad Chauraha police station conspired in the attack. They demanded an FIR against him and staged a protest at the police station.

Taking the matter seriously, Bhind SP Asit Yadav removed the constable from duty and attached him to the police lines. The matter has also been reported to the Indian Embassy.
Later, villagers rallied in large numbers, with over 200 people from more than a dozen villages reaching Gohad Chauraha police station.
Sitting on the ground, they raised slogans, recited prayers, and demanded justice for the NRI family. Protesters insisted that the station in-charge be removed and a case be registered against the constable.
To control the situation, SDOP Mahendra Singh Gautam and TI Rohit Gupta held discussions with the protesters and assured justice for the victims.
However, villagers declared that their agitation would continue until strict action is taken. Leaders from various communities and public representatives also joined the protest.
