MPPSC 2025 Preliminary Exam On February 16; 1.8 Lakh Students To Compete For 158 Posts; Highest Number Of Centres In Indore

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) State Services Preliminary Examination 2025 is scheduled to be held on February 16 (Sunday).

As many as 1.8 lakh candidates will appear for the exam, competing for 158 vacancies.

As the exams approach nearer, all the required preparations have been concluded, including exam centers, question papers, OMR sheets, and others.

The examination will be conducted across 52 districts of the state, out of which, Indore is hosting the highest number of centers.

Aspirants demand increase in number of posts 

According to information, an observer will be appointed for each division, and flying squads will be formed to prevent cheating. 

The exam set to take place on February 16 will be conducted in two parts. The Preliminary exam consists of two objective papers - General Studies and General Aptitude. 

However, the aspirants are dissatisfied with the less number of vacancies, considering which, the Madhya Pradesh government is expected to soon decide on increasing the number of posts for this year’s State Services Examination. 

Currently, there are 158 posts available, while candidates demand that the number should be at least 300. Concerns among candidates primarily revolve around the limited number of posts this year.

Focus on preventing paper leak 

To prevent cheating, the commission has also decided to deploy flying squads. Additionally, measures will be in place to monitor and prevent paper leaks. Indore will host the highest number of examination centers, and the exam will be conducted in 52 districts, including Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Sagar.
