MP: Truck Hits Cow, Drags For 15 km; Drunk Driver Didn't Stop Until Police Blocked His Way In Bhind

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A speeding truck hit a cow and dragged it for 15 kilometres on a National Highway near Bhind on Monday.
The accident occurred on National Highway 719 near Phoop town on Monday night.
According to information, the truck was loaded with potatoes and traveling from Jaswant Nagar to Gwalior, struck the cow, which was standing on the road due to fog.
The driver was reportedly drunk and partying with the helper. He did not stop after the collision.
The cow's body got stuck under the truck and was dragged for around 15 km to Bhind.
Municipal Vice President Bhanu Bhadauria received a call about the incident and acted quickly. He and his friends tried to stop the truck near Etawah, but the driver ignored them. Eventually, Bhadauria blocked the truck's path with his car, forcing it to stop.

When the truck was inspected, the cow’s body was found mangled and stuck underneath. The driver was handed over to the police, and the truck was taken to the city police station.
Despite 36 hours passing, no FIR or action had been taken by the police.
Kotwali police in-charge Praveen Chauhan said no one had come forward to file a complaint, so the police themselves would act as complainants.
