Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): There are some departments where officers are not able to stay for a long time. The officers have been shifted four times from these departments in the past 20 months. Because of the frequent transfer of officers, these departments are facing problems in implementing various projects.
The Women and Child Development Department (WCDD) recently saw the fourth transfer in a row. When the government was formed, Principal Secretary Deepali Rastogi was heading the department.
Afterwards, additional chief secretaries Sanjay Shukla and Rashmi Arun Shami held the charge of the department. Now, Secretary GV Rashmi has been posted there. In the WCDD, considered important for women and children, an officer is unable to work for more than eight months.
The Technical Education and Skill Development Department, which is important for the government, is facing the same situation. At the time of government formation, additional chief secretary Manu Shrivastava was heading the department.
Afterwards, Sanjay Goyal was there for a few months. Then Raghuraj MR was posted to the department. After the transfer of Raghuraj, Vivek Porwal was given charge of the department. Now, Principal Secretary Manish Singh has been shifted there.
In the Cooperative Department, DP Ahuja has been posted there after the transfer of Umakant Umrao, Deepali Rastogi and Ashok Barnwal.
Similarly, PWD has seen Sukhveer Singh, DP Ahuja, KC Gupta, and Neeraj Mandloi as its heads. Now, Sukhveer Singh has again been posted to PWD. The Home Department is also facing the same situation. Additional Chief Secretary of the department JN Kansotiya is retiring this month. After Kansotiya’s retirement, a new officer will be posted to the Home Department.
Rajesh Rajora was posted in the Home Department 20 months ago. Afterwards, Sanjay Dubey and SN Mishra were the additional chief secretaries of the department. After the retirement of Kansotiya this month, the department will get the fifth officer.
Officers are also frequently shifted from mining, labour, GAD and other departments.
