MP: Daughter Of BJP MLA Brij Bihari Pateria Assaulted By Her Cousin At Her Residence In Sagar; Case Registered

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident has been reported from Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district, where a BJP MLA's daughter was brutally assaulted by his cousin brother in her house on Thursday.

The attack occurred when her father was not at home. It is said that the family has a long history of property dispute.

When BJP MLA from the Deori Assembly seat, Brij Bihari Pateria, received the information, he, along with his daughter, reached the SDOP office and lodged a complaint.

The accused has been identified as MLA's nephew Vineet Pateria. The police then registered the case and began the investigations.

According to information, Priyanka Pateria was at her house in Bijora village on Thursday morning. Notably, his father, BJP MLA Brijbihari Pateria, was not present at the home. Suddenly, his cousin Vineet Pateria and son Kushal Pateria barged into the house and attacked her with the intention of killing her. The reason for the dispute is not yet known.

She, somehow, saved herself and informed her father. Following this, MLA Pateria reached his house and took his daughter to the SDOP office. He was shocked when he got to know that the accused was no outsider, but his own nephew.

The police then registered a case against the accused on the complaint of the MLA's daughter. The police have assured that action will be taken against the accused. Further investigations are underway.
