Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A video is doing the rounds on social media, in which a man is seen brutally beating a young man on suspicion of theft — but when he was searched, only a dry roti and a small packet of salt were found on him.
The video captures a horrifying scene, the man is seen hitting the other again and again with a stick. Instead of fighting back or running, he calmly tries to stop the man, raising his hand in quiet defence. He doesn’t shout, doesn’t scream. He just tries to protect himself — with silence.

The video has left people across social media shocked and heartbroken. Many users are questioning the very state of humanity, asking how someone could beat a helpless young man so mercilessly without even knowing the truth.
As, later, when the boy was searched, no stolen item was found. All he had on him was two dry rotis and a small packet of salt, perhaps his only meal of the day. That’s all. Roti and namak. Hunger — not theft, was his crime.
Even more shocking is the fact that people around are simply watching. No one steps in to stop the beating. No one questions the attacker. The boy is alone, surrounded by a crowd.
