According to sources, for the past month, the two tigers had been seen near villages, attacking livestock and worrying the locals. As they started moving closer to human settlements, the forest officials took quick action to avoid any danger.
To catch the tigers safely, the forest department placed two cages in the area. On Monday night at 8 PM, one of the tigers entered a cage and was successfully trapped. The second tiger, however, did not go inside and had to be tranquilized early the next morning at 5 AM.
After being captured, both tigers were sent to the Satpura Tiger Reserve, where they will be looked after in a safe environment.
The Bhojpur Forest area is close to the Ratapani Tiger Reserve, which has over 90 tigers. Tigers from Ratapani often move into nearby forests, which sometimes leads to encounters with people.
Officials have asked villagers to stay alert and report any tiger sightings to the forest department so they can take action quickly and prevent any problems.
