Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Aiming to raise awareness and keep citizens safe from cyber fraudsters, police officials have constituted ‘Nagar Suraksha Cyber Samiti’.
Constituted on the initiative of police officials in Zone-3 under ‘safe click’ campaign, the samiti will act as a bridge between cops and common people and will help them to stay alert from cyber fraudsters.
DCP Zone-3 Riyaz Iqbal organised programmes at schools, colleges, public places, etc through in-charges of police stations in the zone to raise cyber awareness among people. In the series of programmes, a seminar of ‘Nagar Suraksha Samiti’ was held at Regional College at Shyamla Hills on Monday.
The participants were imparted training and were provided tips to stay alert from cyber criminals by DCP Riyaz Iqbal. The DCP said that greed, fear and ignorance were main factors responsible for cyber frauds.

Taking a new initiative, DCP Riyaz Iqbal formed a ‘Nagar Suraksha Cyber Samiti’ whose members will approach people in their areas to raise cyber awareness. DCP said that the samiti will prove to be a milestone in controlling cybercrime. The works of the samiti will be evaluated monthly and will be provided regular training in this direction, he added.
