Madhya Pradesh: MLAs To Get New, Upgraded Flats; 102 To Be Built In 1st Phase

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): State MLAs are set to be allotted new flats shortly, said officials on Wednesday. The Assembly Speaker has visited the construction site already. The cost of the project is more than Rs 125 crore.

The legislators have been raising the issue of the extension of their residential blocks for a while now. Residential blocks were built for legislators and their families years ago, but those are now outdated, small, congested, and have limited amenities. 

200 flats will be constructed, with 102 of those built in the first phase

Principal Secretary of the state Assembly, A.P. Singh, said that in all, 200 flats will be constructed, with 102 of those built in the first phase. 

Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar visited the site and said, “The flats will be in six-floor multi-storey buildings with all modern facilities.”
