Madhya Pradesh May 27 Weather Update: Rain Lashes Over 30 Districts Including Indore, Gwalior On 3rd Day Of Nautapa, Alert Issued For Next Four Days | Representative Image
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is affected by the onset of monsoon activities and various active weather systems. The Meteorological Department has issued a four-day alert for thunderstorms and rain, along with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 50 km per hour.
As the state marks the third day of Nautapa on Tuesday, several districts including including Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, and Agar-Malwa witnessed rainfall with thunderstorms. The weather pattern witnessed a dramatic change overnight. Moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted in 30 districts including Indore, Gwalior.
As the state marks the 3rd day of Nautapa, traditionally a 9 day period of intense heat, The effect of heat remains limited this year.

While last year the state saw temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in 38 cities on the second day of Nautapa, this year only four cities crossed the 40-degree mark on Monday.
On Monday, Naugaon recorded the maximum temperature at 41.6 degrees, Khajuraho 41.4 degrees, Tikamgarh 41 degrees and Damoh recorded 40.2 degrees. Rest of the regions remained below 40 degrees.
Alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department, issued an alert of storm and rain in Indore, Ujjain, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Betul, Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Umaria, Shahdol, Maihar, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi and Singrauli. The weather is predicted remain clear in the rest of the districts.
Active cyclonic circulation
According to a senior weatherman, low pressure area and cyclonic circulation are active currently. Because of which, there is a possibility of storm and rain.

28 May: Heavy thunderstorms may occur in Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Dhar, Agar-Malwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Dewas, Sehore, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Umaria, Shahdol, Sidhi and Singrauli. There is also an alert of rain in these districts.
29 May: There is a possibility of rain in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Morena, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Sidhi, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, The wind speed here can be from 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
