Madhya Pradesh May 26 Weather Update: Unseasonal Rainfall Marks The Start Of Nautapa; Cyclonic Circulation Lowers Temperature By 10°C | Pexels
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The state is undergoing through a pattern of rain and thunderstorm, instead of the usual intense heat in the month of may, that marks the start of Nautapa from 25th May.
The first day of Nautapa has a history of scorching temperature but, no district in the state recorded temperatures above 40°C , except for Khajuraho.
Instead, it rained in several cities including Mandla, Chhindwara, Betul, which lead to a drop in the day temperature in the entire state including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior. According to the Meteorological Department, this year the maximum day- temperature is 10 degrees less than last year.
On Monday, there is an alert of storm and rain in 44 districts including Indore, Jabalpur. Gusty wind is predicted across the state with the speed ranging from 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla and Balaghat.

There is a possibility of thunderstorm and light to moderate rainfall is expected in Indore, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Umaria, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol, Singrauli, Sidhi, Mauganj, Rewa, Satna, Maihar, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Agar-Malwa, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena and Sheopur.
Drop in temperature
On Sunday, Mandla recorded nearly half an inch of rain on Sunday, and the cooling effect was felt across major cities. The maximum temperature was 34.8°C in Bhopal, 33.8°C in Indore, 38.5°C in Gwalior, 35.5°C in Ujjain, and 34.5°C in Jabalpur. The state’s coolest spot was Pachmarhi, at 29.2°C.
Active cyclonic circulation lead to temperature drop
According to the Meteorological Department the weather has changed due to the activation of three cyclonic circulations. Due to this, an alert of storm and rain has been issued for the next four days.

27th May: There is a possibility of rain in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Guna, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Satna, Maihar, Mauganj, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori and Neemuch. The wind speed here can range from 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
28th May: There is an alert of storm and light shower in Ratlam, Ujjain, Indore, Dhar, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Katni, Maihar, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Seoni and Balaghat.
