Madhya Pradesh March 13 Weather Update: Scorching Heat In State; Heatwave Expected In Khajuraho, Gwalior, Pachmarhi & More
The heat is likely to increase further, especially after Holi, with temperatures rising rapidly every day.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The hot weather in Madhya Pradesh continues as northern winds remain steady.
On Wednesday, Khajuraho recorded the highest daytime temperature at 39.4°C, while Mandla had the lowest nighttime temperature at 13.4°C. Pachmarhi, a hill station, saw the night temperature drop to 12.3°C.

According to weather experts, the heat is expected to rise further, and the daytime temperature could reach 40°C on Thursday.
The Meteorological Department reported that a Western Disturbance is currently active over western Afghanistan, forming a cyclone in the upper air. Another cyclone is present in the upper air over southwestern Rajasthan. Weather expert Ajay Shukla said that westerly and northwesterly winds are bringing heat from neighboring states, causing a rise in temperatures across Madhya Pradesh.

In Gwalior, the heat has made people uncomfortable throughout the day. Many found it difficult to sit without using a fan, and only cold water could provide relief from thirst. Night temperatures are also increasing, with Gwalior's temperature crossing 17°C.
The Meteorological Department has stated that no relief is expected on Thursday. Since February, continuous Western Disturbances in Jammu and Kashmir have stopped the flow of cold northern winds.
The latest Western Disturbance, which became active on March 9, has shifted the wind direction to the west, bringing hot winds from Rajasthan. This pattern continued on Wednesday, with the temperature reaching 33.6°C by 11:30 AM.
