Madhya Pradesh Governor To Inaugurate 40th Lokrang On January 26 | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Governor Mangubhai Patel will inaugurate ‘40th Lokrang,’ organised by Janjatiya Lok Kala Evam Boli Vikas Akademi of Culture Department to mark Republic Day at Ravindra Bhavan in the city on Sunday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also be present.
The five-day event inaugurated with a dance-drama ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati,’ which will be narrated by noted film actor Mukesh Tiwari. An exhibition of more than 300 classical, folk and tribal traditional musical instruments will be inaugurated on the inaugural day.
Artistes from Paris, Lebanon, Germany will perform under 'Deshantar' whereas artistes from 16 states of the country will present folk and tribal dance under 'Dharohar' from January 27 to 29 under the event.
Besides, 14 eminent personalities of the state as well as the country will be decorated with seven awards for the year 2022 and 2023 under Rashtriya Samman Alankaran Samaroh of Culture Department.
The awards include Rashtriya Iqbal Samman, Rashtriya Mahatma Gandhi Samman, Rashtriya Kabir Samman, Rashtriya Maithilisharan Gupt Samman, Rashtriya Devi Ahilya Bai Samman, Rashtriya Sharad Joshi Samman, Rashtriya Tulsi Samman and Rashtriya Nanaji Deshmukh Samman.
