Madhya Pradesh Government Set To Count Nomadic Semi-Nomadic People, 12 Districts Chosen For Project

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government is all set to count the number of any community for the first time. The Department of Vimukta (De-notified), Nomadic and Semi-nomadic Tribe is ready to count the number of members of these communities.

The government has chosen 12 districts for the pilot project.

Once the results of counting arrive, the government will start the same process in other districts.

Once the process is over, the government will ruminate over promoting their welfare. The counting will soon begin in Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Dewas, Rajgarh, Neemuch, and Agar districts. Many tribes come under the category of nomadic and semi-nomadic.

People are trying to find a political significance behind the project.

These tribes are not committed voters of any political party. The ruling party may bring them to its fold after the counting.

A conference of this community was held in Bhopal last year in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Now, the government is planning to give some facilities to these communities. They are deprived of the government’s welfare schemes. Yadav said they would get the benefits of the schemes. The main problem with these tribes is to fix their original home. Yadav said one location should be considered as their original home and registered in the government records.

They face problems in preparing any type of certificates for these communities. Once the counting is over, the government will end this problem.
