Madhya Pradesh: Crackdown On Illegal Activities In Bageshwar Dham | FP Photo
Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Acting on the directives of Collector Parth Jaiswal, the revenue and police departments launched a major crackdown on illegal activities in Bageshwar Dham located in Garha village. Led by Rajnagar SDM Prashant Agarwal, a joint team of food department and discom accompanied by police personnel, conducted surprise inspection of over 50 food establishments.
The team seized 14 LPG cylinders (14.2 kg each) from 11 food outlets and registered cases against the violators. Under the Food Safety Act, substandard food items including 2-kg sweet peda, 3-kg laddu, 3 litres of milk, 4-kg potato curry, 1-kg kachori masala, 2-litre jalebi syrup, and 2-kg motichoor laddu were destroyed at nine outlets. Three food establishments were shut down for serious violations.
In a parallel action, six illegally constructed homestays on government land were demolished, and one homestay was sealed for failing to comply with safety standards. Additional unauthorised homestays were given warnings for immediate compliance. Furthermore, illegal electricity connections to 27 shops and homestays were disconnected.
The administration has made it clear that such enforcement drives will continue. Officials present during the operation included SDOP Naveen Dubey, tehsildar Dheeraj Gautam, CEO Rakesh Shukla, food safety officer Ved Prakash Choubey, and other revenue and police personnel.
