Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Congress held a Political Affairs Committee meeting at its state headquarters in Bhopal on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by all Congress MLAs and candidates who lost in the Assembly elections. The special meet was called in line with LoP Rahul Gandhi led protests over alleged ‘vote theft’ in the country.
According to information, they were asked to submit data on fake voters from the last two elections in their constituencies.
The meeting was led by state in-charge Harish Chaudhary and focused mainly on the issue of alleged vote theft.
Chaudhary claimed that the BJP and the Election Commission are ‘not separate, but one and the same.’
Senior leaders including state Congress president Jitu Patwari, former CM Digvijaya Singh, Umang Singhar, Arun Yadav, Sajjan Singh Verma, and others were present.
The meeting came after Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, accused the BJP of ‘Vote Chori’ during elections.
Following his statement, the Congress party has been consistently targeting both the Election Commission and the BJP over the issue.

The Congress plans to take this issue to a larger platform. Party leaders instructed MLAs and former candidates from the 2018 and 2023 Assembly elections to gather detailed information on fake voters, along with voter lists and evidence from their constituencies.
The legislators requested 10 days to prepare the report. Once compiled, the Madhya Pradesh Congress expects to have complete data on alleged voter fraud across all constituencies in the state.
