Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): BJP state president VD Sharma on Sunday lashed the opposition accusing them of playing a Divide-and-Rule game in the country.

Sharma, while talking to the media, fiercely attacked the opposition and said, "The genes of British will not end till Congress ends. Even today, the genes of the British are inside the Congress."

Sharma made the claim at the inauguration of the divisional media center of the party in Jabalpur.

Taking a dig at the opposition for soft Hindutva, VD Sharma said Congress is not soft Hindutva but soft Naxalism and soft terrorism. "The manner in which the opposition has trained and spread lies about the Agniveer plan is an example of the Britishs' Divide-and-rule policy. They will only lie and can cheat," added he.

When asked about the political crisis of Maharashtra, Sharma said the government which was currently running in Maharashtra was not a natural alliance because if we talk about the people of Maharashtra, the people there voted for the BJP from the very beginning.

"Shiv Sena also got votes in the name of BJP and only in the name of PM Modi. But Shiv Sena, motivated by selfishness, entered into an alliance with other parties only to get the power. Maharashtra politics is taking shape right direction now."

Not only this, but Sharma also took a jibe at the arrival of actor Sonu Sood, who was being called by Congress to Indore for campaigning.

"Earlier, Prashant Kishor was coming, and now Sonu Sood. Every BJP worker is Sonu Sood in his own right. No matter who comes on the soil of Madhya Pradesh, the trust of the people will remain with the BJP."
