Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): BJP legislator from the Pichhore constituency in Shivpuri, Preetam Lodhi, known for courting controversies by his statements, has again made a contentious remark. Discussing the condition of roads, Lodhi insulted two dead artists.
When the Digvijaya Singh-led government was ruling the state, the condition of roads was like Om Puri, but the BJP government has built the roads like Sridevi.
Lodhi was replying to a question over the poor condition of roads in the state. Lodhi reached Vidhan Sabha by a cab on Monday. He said his car was small, and the roads in the city turned into water parks.
“It is still raining. There has to be some kind of understanding with Lord Indra, god of rain,” he said.

Deputy Leader of the Opposition Hemant Katare said Lodhi’s remark was an insult to women. According to Katare, the BJP leaders always insult women.
Sridevi was a great actor, and Om Puri earned a name for the country across the world, he said. Making such remarks on those who are no more with us indicates the narrow- mindedness of the person, he said.
