Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Large number of tourists participated in the fifteen-day Jheel Mahostav that concluded on Sunday evening.
On the final evening, divisional commissioner A Verma and Zilla Panchayat Jabalpur CEO A Gehlot enjoyed adventure sports with their families on the banks of the Narmada, surrounded by scenic valleys.
They experienced various adventure sports, including para motoring and waterboats, as well as other games.
Council's CEO Hemant Singh stated that this event, which has become a centre for adventure activities in the border area of Jabalpur and Mandla, should be organised annually.
On this, the chief guest of the programme, divisional commissioner Verma, said that such events would open avenues for tourism development.
In the cultural programme, artists from the Surdham Sangeet Samiti, led by Kirti Srivastava, performed.
Organised jointly by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the Jabalpur Archeology, Tourism and Culture Council, the Lake Festival featured 18 types of adventure activities.
Water sports offered exciting options like jet skiing, banana rides, water scooters, and surfing.
Simultaneously, options like hot air balloons, para motoring, and parasailing provided tourists with an opportunity to view the dam and the surrounding natural beauty from a new perspective.
Activities like slingshot, rock climbing, valley crossing, and zorbing ball were a special attraction for adventure tourists.
